Four Tet will play the next edition of Francois K's Deep Space party this Monday at Cielo in New York.
Kieran Hebden, the man behind the Four Tet moniker, may be best known for his IDM and jazz-inflected studio productions and live performances, but he's also drawn praise over the years for his wide-ranging DJ sets. His contribution to the Fabriclive series last year—RA's favorite mix of 2011—was rooted in house and two-step, but he's just as likely to work in funk, hip-hop and all sorts of left-field rarities. That approach should fit in well at Deep Space, a party known for its emphasis on the eclectic. The night is Hebden's only currently scheduled stateside appearance.
