- The visual artist will release his debut album Regional Surrealism in July.
Konx-om-Pax will release his first full-length Regional Surrealism on Planet Mu in July.
Konx is the alias of Glaswegian visual artist Tom Scholefield, who has worked on several projects in the electronic music realm including art for Lone, Hudson Mohawke and Rustie, and videos for King Midas Sound and Mogwai. While it's his debut album, Regional Surrealism is not his first foray into music. Scholefield released a CD-R in 2010 and also appearing on a few compilations on Icasea. His music is synth-heavy and slow, mostly beatless and apparently in parts "inspired by the idea of rescoring films and TV," such as "Glacier Mountain Descent" which is intended for Werner Herzog's Aguirre.
