- Rush Hour will release the Dutch artist's first-full length in May.
San Proper has finished work on his first artist album, Animal.
There's a salty charisma that sets San Proper apart, both personally and musically: his productions, DJ sets and overall presence tend to be funny, a bit confrontational and intriguingly weird. He's long been a staple of Amsterdam's club scene, and aside from those on Perlon, virtually all of his records have come out on Dutch labels—Dekmantel, M>O>S, Studio Soulrock, ratio?music and most notably Rush Hour Recordings, who hosted his earliest productions and will be releasing Animal. The album follows a remix single for the title track, which came out last month and features two reworks by Ricardo Villalobos. It will be available digitally and as a double LP.
