Kowton, Steffi, Roman Flugel and Kassem Mosse will play for the London promoter in the coming months.
Bristol's Kowton will be the headlining guest for Make Me's August outing. The producer, real name Joe Cowton, has been steadily bubbling away in the UK house underground for the past few years (we marked him as a Breaking Through artist in 2009) but seems to have hit a real creative purple patch of late. Idle Hands—the Bristol record store and label with which Cowton is closely involved—has released a pair of his sparse and dusky EPs in this time, while Livity Sound, the imprint he runs alongside Peverelist and Asusu, has also been a primary outlet. Also of note has been the recently released Des Bisous, the grime-infused first release from Cowton's Pale Fire label. All of which leads us to believe that his two-hour set on August 10th should be a hotbed of dark and fresh UK house and techno. Support, as with all Make Me parties, comes from Rubin, Rupes and Nic Baird.
Next up on October 12th is Osgut's Steffi and TANSTAAFL's October (location TBA) followed by sets from Roman Flügel and BNJMN at Make Me's November party, and a visit from Leipzig lo-fi house favourite Kassem Mosse.
Tickets to all of Make Me's upcoming events can be purchased through RA Tickets.
