  • Londoner Ali Wells, known to most as Perc, will be visiting Australia this August. Since founding his Perc Trax imprint back in 2002, Wells has gradually built up his reputation as a techno DJ, producer and curator. Particularly in the past four or five years he has managed to become one of the scene's highly respected figures, with releases on labels like Kompakt, CLR and Ovum as well as his own. This recent momentum led to Perc Trax being selected as RA's Label of the Month in December of last year. His most recent release, 'A New Brutality', was applauded as maybe "the meanest, ugliest thing he's ever done." Melbourne will be Wells' first stop on August 17th for a When The Smoke Clears party at Brown Alley. He'll be supported by a lengthy list of locals who will be spinning from 10:00 PM including PWD, Dean Benson and Andrew Till. The following night, Disconnected will host the Sydney gig at One22 with Andosound, Ben Dunlop and Defined By Rhythm. Tickets to the Sydney show can be purchased here on RA.
