  • Toro Y Moi will embark on a short US tour in September. American artist Chaz Bundick received praise for his 2010 debut album Causers of This, a hazy pop album that was quickly lumped in with the then-nascent chillwave movement. Toro Y Moi blended in filtered electronics with R&B melodies and vocals, an aesthetic that was sharpened on his 2011 follow-up Underneath The Pine. The mini-tour will start on September 26th in Durham, North Carolina at Motorco Music Hall, and the next night he'll make another stop in North Carolina at The Orange Peel in Asheville. On the Asheville date he'll be supported by Columbia, South Carolina bands The Choir Quit and The Can't Kids, who'll also join him for a Charleston date the next evening at Music Farm. Finally, on September 29th Bundick will perform at the Fairburn, Georgia Counterpoint Music Festival, a weekender that also includes names like Skrillex and Avicii.
