The Cocoon resident will play three shows in Australia this month.
Burak Sar's entrance to the world of production resulted in the release of three 12-inches in 2006-07 on 8bit and Cecille Records, but it was "Nesrib" and "Trompeta" from 2008 that helped him break through, the latter of which was released by Ricardo Villalobos on Sei es Drum. Since that time, Sar has been fairly prolific in the studio, with records landing on high profile labels like Get Physical Music, Connaisseur and, most recently, Crosstown Rebels. His popularity as a producer is equalled as a DJ and live performer, with the German having held a residency at Frankfurt's Cocoon Club (which, incidentally, went into administration today) for a number of years.
Sar's upcoming Australian visit will begin in Perth at The Honey Lounge on September 21st, where local promoters Lucid Dreaming will host the show under their Inception banner. The next night he heads to The Spice Cellar in Sydney, where he will be supported by locals Nic Scali and James Taylor, before he hits Melbourne's OneSixOne on the 23rd for a Fluidlife day party from 3:00 PM. Tickets to the Sydney and Melbourne shows can be purchased here on RA.
