Reel-To-Real will host the leftfield NYC producer at London's Rhythm Factory later this month.
"Madteo is a bit of a personality" we said in the introduction to our recent Exchange—30 seconds into the interview would have been sufficient to see this was the case. The New York artist has been releasing left-of-centre dance tracks through labels like Morphine and Workshop for a few years now, but has been recently gaining greater appreciation for his work thanks in no small part to Bugler Gold Pt.1, the first release on Joy Orbison and Will Bankhead's Hinge Finger. The party on September 22nd at the Rhythm Factory will be his UK debut. (Juno Plus has just put out a mix from him if you're unsure what to expect.) Sex Tag's DJ Sotofett—who Madteo was praising during the Exchange—is also on the bill, alongside Truth Rhythm Unit and analogue house specialist John Swing of the excellent Relative and LiveJams imprints.
Tickets for Reel-To-Real can be bagged via RA.
