- The leftfield bass artist has a six-track package in the works for Exit Records called The Commons.
FIS will release a mini-album later this month called The Commons.
As you may remember from Todd L. Burns' recent Breaking Through feature, FIS is a New Zealand-based producer whose strange and aggressive productions sound like some demented cousin of drum & bass. He has only two releases under his belt so far, both on the vinyl-only imprint Samurai Horo. The Commons marks his debut on Exit Records, the UK label run by dBridge, who's hosted FIS on his Rinse.FM show in the past. It will be available digitally and in a limited run of vinyl copies (250 in all). You can hear a five-minute mix of the entire release right here.
