The Madison Square Garden farewell gig will be shown in its entirety in Room One on October 4th.
Staged at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 2nd, 2011, the show—clocking in at nearly four hours—found James Murphy's influential band bowing out at the height of their powers. A new film, Shut Up and Play the Hits, chronicles the show and Murphy on the days surrounding it. The fabric screening promoting the film's release, however, will be the first (and, they say, only) time the concert footage that formed the basis of Shut Up and Play the Hits will be shown in its entirety. The screening will take place in Room One on a giant screen for a standing audience. Jim Stanton of London's Horse Meat Disco will also be DJing the event.
