Mister Sunday extends into the fall

- Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter have one more month of afternoon sessions at Gowanus Grove coming up.
- Mister Saturday Night's daytime series, Mister Sunday, has planned an extra month of events at Gowanus Grove in Brooklyn. After launching an in-house label, mixing RA.321 and celebrating their 100th party (all over the course of the last half-year or so), Mister Saturday Night bosses Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter have decided to extend Mister Sunday into the fall. In past years Labor Day has marked the end of the outdoor series, but that hasn't been the case in 2012. Carter explains: "It's turned out that when it gets darker earlier and a little cooler, it seems to bring even more people over to the dancefloor. It's just been great. Eamon and I have felt like we could really spread out and take chances musically." On top of that, ongoing development of nearby residential neighborhoods means that the future of Gowanus Grove remains uncertain. "We really want to take advantage of all the time there we possibly can. It's one of the most special places for a party that I've ever been to anywhere," Carter says. Five more Mister Sunday parties have been scheduled, beginning this weekend. Carter and Harkin will have the decks all to themselves each afternoon.
