- The Russian drum & bass producer will release Machines on Critical in November.
Enei will release his debut album, Machines, on November 12th.
Alexey Egorchenkov has been releasing hard-hitting drum & bass for five years now, mostly on obscure labels up until 2011, when former Label of the Month Critical signed him as their first exclusive artist. With tracks like "Stonehead," he showed a tightly-wound sound described by label head Kasra as "a formidable mixture of rolling drums, floor shaking bass and attitude." The Russian producer's debut full-length continues in the same vein, with 11 previously unreleased tracks mostly at drum & bass tempo. The album has vocal appearances from DRS and Georgia Yates, and collaborations with Kemo (on "Saligia") and Eastcolors & Noel on an updated VIP version of 2011's "Cracker." The vinyl release features only four tracks from the album; the digital version comes with four extra.
