Sähkö will release the New York producer's second LP this December.
Born in Italy and based in New York since the '90s, Madteo (born Matteo Ruzzon) has garnered attention in the past few years for his gritty and unconventional records on Morphine, Meakusma, Workshop, Wania and Hinge Finger. In a recent edition of RA's Exchange podcast, he mentioned he had an album in the works for famed Finnish techno imprint Sähkö, and that the writing and recording process had presented him with an interesting challenge: how could he use his mostly digital and sample-based production techniques to approach the hardware-oriented sound Sähkö is known for? According to Ruzzon, the label provided him with a selection of records from their back catalog as a guide but otherwise let him answer this question himself. Noi No will be released as a double-LP.
