The Soma bosses will play four stateside dates in January along with the BPM Festival in Mexico.
Slam will head to the North America for five dates in January.
The Scottish producer and DJ duo have been in the game for quite a while now, with their renowned Soma Records label having just recently hit its 21st anniversary, but Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle still have a firm grip on contemporary techno, fitting the harder-edged end of labels like Ostgut-Ton and Delsin into their recent sets. Despite their busy touring schedule (which we examined in last year's Touring Scenes feature), they don't fly across the Atlantic very often. In fact, the upcoming string of American gigs will be their first shows in the States in well over a decade.
Slam will begin their transatlantic journey on January 9th with a Soma showcase at BPM Festival in Mexico's Playa Del Carmen, before heading to the US on the 11th to play Public Works in San Francisco. The next night, they'll hit Denver's Norad Dance Bar, before heading to Smart Bar in Chicago Smart Bar on the 18th and a TBA location in New York City on the 19th. With the exception of the Chicago date, where they're joined by Perc Trax man Jeff Derringer, Slam are billed alongside American duo (and Soma affiliates) H-Foundation throughout the tour.
Tickets for the San Francisco, Denver and NYC dates are available on RA.
