  • Copenhagen's Culture Box will celebrate its eighth birthday this weekend with parties on Friday and Saturday night. Culture Box, occupying a space that the club claims once housed "most of the Danish pornography business," first opened its doors in 2005 and quickly became a staple of nightlife in Copenhagen. In 2012, the club added a basement space called Red Box to complement the larger Black Box room upstairs. Their anniversary celebration will spread out across both spaces, not to mention both nights of the weekend. Shed will anchor Black Box on Friday with a live set; he'll be joined by Fachwerk boss Mike Dehnert, as well as locals Northern Structures and Asmus Odsat & Mads Rehl. Axel Boman from Studio Barnhus will be joined by Kasper Bjorke and Sexy Lazer in Red Box. The Cocktail Box, a bar located next to the main venue, will be soundtracked by Stefan and Mandrup. The following night will feature a live set from headliners Scion (AKA Berlin's Substance & Vainqueur) plus DJ sets from Pattern Repeat and Morten Kamper in Black Box. Thomas Fehlmann, Mixmaster Morris, Finn of Tomland and Kong will hold down Red Box, and Tine Valentine and Carsten Jensen will be in the Cocktail Box. Tickets to both the Friday and Saturday night parties, as well as passes for the entire weekend, are available right here on RA.
