  • Jamie Roberts AKA Blawan will make his way back to Australia to play shows in four cities this February. After enjoying a breakthrough year in 2011 with his first 12-inches on R&S Records and the release of white-label "Getting Me Down", which topped RA's top 50 tracks of the year, Roberts continued to make progress last year with both his solo output and collaborations. The chilling Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage on Joy Orbison's Hinge Finger again cracked the 2012 poll's top 5, while he developed his new all-hardware live show with Pariah as Karenn and released two records with The Analogue Cops as Parassela to a warm reception. February will see his first EP with UK techno veteran Surgeon under the guise Trade being released on Sheworks. Following a three show tour last May, Roberts will return to Australia next month to play four gigs. His first two shows will be with Marcel Dettmann, with Electric Owl presenting the Melbourne party at Brown Alley on February 15th and Chinese Laundry hosting the Sydney party on the 16th. He hits Brisbane on the night of the 22nd to play The Kush Club at Coniston Lane with TNGHT member Lunice and a host of local acts, before playing his final show will be at Shape Bar in Perth on February 23rd. Tickets to the Brisbane show can be purchased here on RA.
