  • Noise In My Head will finish up an eight-year run on Melbourne station 3RRR this Sunday night with a special broadcast. Michael Kucyk has hosted the show every week since 2005, spinning everything from deep house and obscure disco to industrial and psych, the latter of which was exhibited on his now dormant Nervous Jerk label. Over those eight years, the show featured countless guest mixes and live sets from an equally wide variety of local and international guests, with artists like Prins Thomas, Virgo Four, Andrew Weatherall, Juan Atkins and Beautiful Swimmers all contributing to a long list of podcasts. While the slot on 3RRR may be coming to a close, Kucyk will continue to broadcast the show from his new Sydney home through London online station NTS Radio, with the Noise In My Head website still cataloguing the shows. There will, however, be a send-off party of sorts this Sunday night, February 24th, with the 3RRR studio being turned into a small clubbing space with live performances from Matthew Brown and Roland Tings as well as DJ sets from Tornado Wallace and the Bamboo Musik DJs. Although attendance is only open to 3RRR subscribers, the party will be broadcast at the show's usual time of 10:00PM AEST, on 102.7 FM in Melbourne or streaming through the station's website.
