  • Airbound Festival will come to London on the weekend of March 29th. The Irish festival, now in its fourth year, has been roving around Europe of late, with versions popping up in Berlin and the seaside village of Petrcane, Croatia. London is the festival's home base these days, and as usual, the Thames is the site of Airbound's main event. The promoters have hired the Dixie Queen Paddle Steamer, a 19th century-style riverboat the promoters describe as "London's largest party-ready vessel," for the Friday night party. Permanent Vacation artist The Drifter will be providing the soundtrack, along with a number of acts who have yet to be announced. After the cruise, the party moves to a warehouse space, and it'll feature an extended set from JG Wilkes of Optimo and Dublin's White Collar Boy playing live. The festival will take Saturday off and reconvene at the Horse & Groom in Shoreditch on Sunday. Château Flight will headline that party, with support from The House of Disco and a host of Airbound-affiliated DJs. You can snag tickets to the festival here on RA.
