The Canadian techno producer's new live band is working on an album.
Marc Houle has revealed details of his latest endeavour, a live trio called La Folie.
Houle first met fellow member Joaquim dos Santos a decade ago in Windsor, Ontario. Santos appeared on Houle's 2010 album Drift, and joined by third member Clelia Cantoro they've christened themselves La Folie (a French phrase that "describes the madness of love"). The trio's upcoming 12-track album was recorded in Berlin, based off sketches that date back a few years. The record was mixed by Tobi Neumann at his own Apollo Studio.
There's no tracklist or confirmed release date yet, but you can stream an album preview here. The trio have also put out a video for first single "Her New Dress," which is available here or streaming below. They will perform for the first time at a private event at Berghain's Kantine on June 5th.
