- The Swedish duo's 2001 self-titled debut and Deep Cuts will receive new wax issues in August.
The Knife will reissue their first two LPs on vinyl on August 27th.
The Swedish duo have commanded a lot of attention this year with their well-received Shaking The Habitual album, and it seems like they're using the time in the limelight to re-introduce some of their earliest work. The band's first self-titled LP and 2003's Deep Cuts both had a more conventional synth-pop sound than than the darker-tinged sounds that started with 2006's Silent Shout. Deep Cuts is best known for hit single "Heartbeats," the song that first brought wider international attention to the group. The reissues will come through Artist Intel.
The 2001 debut has never before been released on vinyl, and the pressing will also be the first time Deep Cuts has been available on wax in North America, according to Exclaim. The re-release of the two albums will be preceded by a 12-inch single for "A Tooth For An Eye" through Mute on July 23rd.
