  • Stray Dogs will release Wasteland on September 14th, 2013. Belgian partners Koenraad Ecker and Frederik Meulyzer have been making music together now for a while, inspired by "the fringes of electronic, dub, contemporary classical & experimental music." Incorporating live instrumentation with their electronics, Ecker plays cello and guitar while Meulyzer focuses on the percussion. Their music drifts between ambient, drone, noise and more percussive sounds—what the press release describes as "ritual drumming." With a particular emphasis on texture, the live instruments on Wasteland were recorded in a deconsecrated church in Antwerp, using its different rooms and acoustic spaces to capture natural reverb and echo effects. The album will come through Icarus Records, a newer label based out of Ghent, and the duo are reportedly working on an audiovisual live set based around the LP as well. Tracklist 01. Hollow Men 02.
