- The Chicago duo will release their second album in October.
Supreme Cuts will drop their next LP on October 1st.
Divine Ecstasy follows just over a year after Mike Perry and Austin Kjeultes' debut album Whispers In The Dark, which we called "a graceful leap forwards that any group would dream of." The Chicago-based twosome also appeared in our Breaking Through feature series earlier that year, where they discussed their love of R&B and hip-hop and how they interact with the so-called cloud-rap scene.
Since Whispers, the duo have worked with rappers like Haleek Maul and Mykki Blanco, translating their mostly instrumental sound over to vocal tracks. That's the theme on Divine Ecstasy, which predominantly features full-fledged R&B songs—Mahaut Mondino sings on two tracks, while three others feature vocals from Minneapolis band Poliça, Portland's Shy Girls and rising UK singer Py, while Maul also shows up to rap over a track. Like their debut, the LP will come through NYC label Dovecote.
