- The Chicago artist will release Death After Life next February.
Software Recording Co will release Thug Entrancer's debut album on February 10th, 2014.
Thug Entrancer is the alias of Ryan McRyhew, a Denver-born artist who moved to Chicago in 2011 and found inspiration in that city's rich musical history. House and juke are among the inspirations for his debut full-length Death After Life, which consists of eight "chapters" that explore the darker undercurrents of Chicago music. Most of it was written and recorded on-the-fly with no samples and little post-production. The digital version will come with two extra tracks. You can hear the fourth chapter of Death After Life below, or over at the label's YouTube page.
