- Stephan Laubner's ambient project will return with a double-vinyl album, due out in March or April.
STL will release an album as Lunatik Sound System in the coming months.
The Journey will arrive on Stephan Laubner's own Something label, a couple of months on from his latest STL album, At Disconnected Moments, for Hamburg outfit Smallville. "The concept is like always on my Lunatik Sound System albums, to take the listener on a trip and guide them through relaxing and psychedelic sounds," Laubner told Inverted Audio. "I always try to tell a story with my LSS albums, The Journey is something that I've wanted to do for a while now.”
With ten beatless compositions, the album features a mix of new efforts and remastered versions of older tunes. To date all of the Lunatik Sound System material has been released on CDr, with one exception—2010's The Heavy Minded Orchestra—which made it onto vinyl. The Journey will also be pressed onto wax.
You can stream a nine-minute track from the album, "The Beauty In The Deep," in full over on the Inverted Audio website.
