Parrish, Wilhite, Pittman and Dixon Jr will be joined by DJ Harvey, Prosumer, Joy Orbison and many more at the Amsterdam festival this August.
Though this is described as a first announcement, things are already shaping up impressively. 3 Chairs—AKA Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Rick Wilhite and Marcellus Pittman—are at the top of the bill playing one of their back-to-back-to-back-to-back sets. (A few other team-ups have made the first announcement as well: Axel Boman & John Talabot will play as Talaboman; Tessela & Truss will converge as TR//ER; Gerd Janson and Prins Thomas will trade tunes; Jackmaster & Oneman will present Can U Dance; and Blawan & Surgeon will step up as Trade.) In terms of techno, the festival will feature Rødhåd, Robert Hood, Karenn, Luke Slater (as L.B. Dub Corp) and Oscar Mulero. House fans will be treated to acts like Tale Of Us, Joy Orbison and Paranoid London. Daphni, DJ Harvey, Hessle Audio and Prosumer, meanwhile, may be tougher to pin down. Live performances from Nicolas Jaar, Plaid, Mount Kimbie and Shackleton round out the proceedings. We're told when all is said and done, there will be close to 100 artists on the bill, so keep an eye out over the coming weeks and months for more.
Like last year, the respected Amsterdam promoters will stage the festival at Amsterdamse Bos, or Amsterdam Forest. This year, they'll be adding camping to the site. Check out the trailer below for more on what's planned for this year.
