  • Moog has brought a horde of its synthesizers to the Brooklyn outpost of Rough Trade for an installation running now through March 29th. The organizers are calling it "the world's largest modern Moog installation," and it features "a producers station, drone towers, 10 voice polyphonic analog synth, 6 voice Minimoog drum synth, and over 50 analog effects boxes." Rather than just put the instruments on display, the Asheville, North Carolina synth manufacturer is pitching it as an "artist's resource" and inviting anyone to come in and make sounds. In addition to making the instruments available to the public, Moog has lent some staff to the installation to assist with the synths, and they've promised to pepper the residency with performances. The event is part of the lead-up to Moogfest, which runs April 23rd through 27th in Asheville.
