- End Scene will be jointly released by Throne Of Blood and New Kanada in May.
Jokers Of The Scene's debut album, End Scene, will land at the end of May.
Throne Of Blood and New Kanada will co-release the record, which was crafted in the Canadian duo's Toronto studio. According to a press release, End Scene is "based on decades of VHS-addled film music, new wave jams, weirdo library records, acid house bangers, selected ambient works and warehouse jackers."
New York artist Sean Dack is behind the album's artwork. Dack is also creating a series of short films to accompany each of End Scene's 11 tracks. (You can watch the first one below.) Naum Gabo's James Savage looked after the mastering side of things.
The album will be released on vinyl, cassette and digital formats. The digital version contains a bonus track: "A Lovely Sort of Death (Alternate Ending)." The cassette version, titled Endless Scene and released in collaboration with LA record shop Mount Analog, comprises a range of other additional tracks. You can listen to some snippets of the LP over at Throne Of Blood's SoundCloud page.
Jokers Of The Scene recently appeared on Moon Rock Volume One, a collection of ambient tunes from Throne Of Blood released this month.
