  • The sixth SHADE, subtitled Shame, will take place next Saturday, June 21st. A collaboration between promoter Seva Granik and Ladyfag, SHADE is a "roving underground party series" with an emphasis on fashion, music and visual arts. Their next event will be a celebration of gay pride in New York (ahead New York City Pride going down the following week), and it'll take over an abandoned factory in Bushwick—reportedly the largest venue SHADE has used yet. There's a focus on collaboration and cooperation, with hosts from a variety of local club nights, including XTAPUSSY, Club Yes, 11:11 and more. The lineup also highlights guest DJs from gay parties in San Francisco and Chicago. Fatherhood, the collaborative project from Physical Therapy and Michael Magnan, will headline. San Francisco crew Honey Soundsystem will be represented by Josh Cheon and Jackie House, while Chicago's Men's Room will bring Harry Cross and JPEG. Finally, local WRECKED DJ Ryan Smith is also billed. You can check out our recent Breaking Through feature with Physical Therapy here. Tickets for the party are available on RA.
