Kirk will perform live under the name for the first time in more than 20 years.
Cabaret Voltaire were one of electronic music's defining outfits. Founded in the early '70s, they were active for around two decades, crafting a pioneering blend of pop and industrial music. The upcoming performance will see founding member Richard H Kirk work with an array of hardware and multi-screen projections.
A number of other acts have also been added to the Berlin Atonal bill. Donato Dozzy and Nuel will play live as Aquaplano, Blackest Ever Black duo Dalhous will touch down for their Berlin debut, while Murcof, Biosphere and Senking will play on a specially designed 4DSOUND rig. New acts joining the already extensive afterparty programme include Sigha, SHXCXCHCXSH and Vessel.
The above names join Tim Hecker, Sendai, Milton Bradley and many more on the bill. The festival takes place August 20th through 24th.
