  • Arturia has released the iProphet. The French company—known for its controllers, plug-ins and hardware synths—has already released iPad versions of the Minimoog and the Oberheim SEM. Their latest tablet offering is another version of a classic, this time Sequential Circuit's 1986 Prophet VS, their first digital offering and final synth. The iProphet, which has been rumored for weeks after information posted to Arturia's website and subsequently taken down was reported on a handful of music tech sites, features the sound engine found on Arturia's Prophet V plug-in synth, Audiobus support and a good deal of presets. Arturia says a major goal with the iProphet was to make the synth a bit easier to use and more intuitive than its forebear. You can see it in action in the video below.
