- The Vancouver duo will have the first release on the new label at the end of the year.
The Automatic Message will inaugurate the new Body Politic Recordings label.
Body Politic is a new endeavour from a team of Vancouver stalwarts: promoter Matt Tecson, Richard Duggan, Matthew Gunn and Trevor Jacobson, who is one half of The Automatic Message with Tanya Goehring, his wife. The label promises material from KAFKA (Duggan), Thegn (Gunn) and Tecson in the future.
The Left Circular Appendix is a conceptual record based on the stages of early human life. Its still to-be-determined release date will coincide with the birth of the couple's first child, which is expected towards the end of the month. The duo have released on labels like Bleepsequence and From 0-1 in the past, as well as doing plenty of video work for CLR and other imprints.
