Patrick Russell plays for Aphotic Segment

- The longtime DJ will return to his hometown of Detroit for the free party in early February.
- Brooklyn-based DJ Patrick Russell will swing through Detroit to headline Aphotic Segment on Sunday, February 1st. It's the first event of 2015 for Aphotic Segment, which after a couple years' break returned in 2014 with free monthly Sunday-night sessions at Nancy Whiskey featuring the likes of Todd Osborn, FIT, BMG and Karl Meier. The guest this time is Russell, a longtime underground favorite who originally hails from Detroit. He's a member of the Interdimensional Transmissions crew, alongside BMG, and he's well-regarded for his deep and eclectic selections (he earned a booking for an eight-hour set last year at The Bunker Limited in Brooklyn). As usual, Aphotic Segment residents Soren and Drew Pompa will open things up.
