If you've been craving some international flavoured drum n bass sounds since LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad rinsed you out on New Years Eve then wait no longer. Welsh groove therapist High Contrast, of Hospital Records, is coming to Melbourne for one show only on Thursday February 13.
A resident of Fabric London, High Contrast's sound is a mix up of jungle with disco, funk, jazz, soulful grooves, big fat bass heavy breaks, and even some garage! His debut LP "True Colours" was well received with the two singles "Return of Forever" and "Global Love" storming into the charts after spins by Andy C, Fabio, Grooverider and Bad Company. High Contrast was also awarded "Best Newcomer" at the Drum'n'Bass Arena Awards.
Local selektors Selekt, oneLC, Trooper and Rol'n are on board for the night
The event takes place at Revolver Upstairs in Prahan. Tickets are $15 and available only on the door. The local DJs start at 9pm with High Contrast playing from midnight.
There's only one way to find out what all the noise is about, and that's bass heavy!
