- The Austrian duo's second full-length will arrive in April.
HVOB will return to Stil vor Talent in April with their second album, Trialog.
The duo of Anna Mu¨ller and Paul Wallner debuted as HVOB, which is short for Her Voice Over Boys, just over two years ago on Oliver Koletzki's label. The connection has so far resulted in a self-titled debut album in 2013 and five 12-inch releases—the last of which, 2014's Window (which had remixes from Gui Boratto and Acid Pauli), actually counts as Trialog's first single. Lush, melodic vocal house is their style as producers, and they only perform live, usually with a drummer on hand.
Along with describing a darker, more techno-leaning affair, a press release calls Trialog "an interdisciplinary work of art: ten physical processes, reflected in interactive installations, visuals and sounds." To that end, Mu¨ller and Wallner have teamed up with the VJ collective lichterloh and contemporary artist Clemens Wolf, and in support of the album, they'll take the audio-visual show on the road with their first global tour (they've been announced for Geneva's Electron Festival in April, though further dates are still TBA).
Trialog, due out in April on vinyl, CD and digital formats, will be Stil vor Talent's 150th release. Another pre-LP single is scheduled for release in March—that one will feature The Field and PillowTalk on remix duties.
