- René Pawlowitz adds booming kicks (and more besides) on two new versions of "Mars."
René Pawlowitz has turned in two Head High remixes of Caribou's "Mars."
In keeping with the Head High project's MO, one version is a booming 4/4 effort while the other is a breakbeat rework. According to a post on Caribou's Facebook page, both remixes will be available on Tuesday, March 10th. The original version of "Mars" first appeared on Caribou's 2014 album Our Love. "I've been hammering Head High's tunes in my DJ sets (alongside everyone else) for years," says Caribou, real name Dan Snaith. "He's infallible—almost inhumanly so. His tracks reliably pulverize everything in their path."
Caribou also shared a Cyril Hahn edit of "Second Chance" which you can listen to here. The remixes will be available on an extended version of Our Love.
