In an unexpected blow comes this release from MEMF organisers:"It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, the 2003 Melbourne Electronic Music Festival (MEMF) has been cancelled.
"Due to complications with our major event, MEMF Sound Off , we have had to cancel the entire Festival program.
"On behalf of the entire MEMF Team, I would like to thank you for your support and coverage of this year's festival. Whilst extremely disappointed, the MEMF team will now focus our energy on the 2004 Melbourne Electronic Music Festival."
This is very disappointing announcement as it is a fair blow to all involved and the Melbourne industry as a whole.
