K Hand in Australia this weekend

- K(elli) Hand is considered the Godmother of Detroit techno. Inspired like so many others from Detroit, by Derrick May and Jeff Mills, Detroit’s finest female DJ will bring her techno and house sounds When she makes a quick visit to Australia this weekend. K Hand is playing in Sydney this Friday night as the headliner at Tech-ni-kal alongside residents Biz E and Simon Caldwell. She also plays Melbourne on Sunday night at Honkytonks with Declan Kelly and Miss Krystal. She is also responsible for Acacia records, which has since grown to become Hitmusic, now the umbrella under which a number of smaller independent labels are based. Residents in the second room of the Chinese Laundry will add a vs feel to the night with Ajax vs Dave Salde and Fax vs Phil Smart. Those in Melbourne can look forward to K Hand's Sunday night performance at Honkytonks.
