Dubkasm, Gorgon Sound and DJ Madd will get out their dubplates for a gig at Paper Box later this month.
Echo Chamber will return to Paper Box on Saturday, May 30th.
The event series is organized by local promoters Dub-Stuy, known for their custom-built 15,000-watt wooden sound system. This month's edition will see a sound clash between two respected Bristol selectors: veteran dub collective Dubkasm and Gorgon Sound, the reggae sound system project of grime producers Kahn and Neek. They will go toe-to-toe for the audience's approval, playing acetate dubplates in alternating rounds. Fellow Bristolian and Black Box Recordings boss DJ Madd is on opening duties, as is the Portland-based dub jockey E3. The Dub-Stuy residents round out the bill.
