- The UK label will follow up last year's disco retrospective with another selection of rarities.
Soul Jazz will release a second disco compilation on June 29th.
Disco 2: A Further Fine Selection Of Independent DIsco, Modern Soul And Boogie 1976-1980 follows last year's first compilation of (almost) the same name, which was a companion to the label's expansive disco cover art book. This collection focuses on the independent side of disco during its late '70s heyday, featuring "rare, classic and in-demand tracks from the mighty vaults of labels such as New York’s Salsoul and Miami’s TK Records through to killer virtually unknown tracks released on tiny bespoke one-off labels." The album comes with full sleeve artwork and notes for each track.
