Bossa Nova hosts Scott Mou of Queens

- The Dial Records artist will DJ the club's Tropical Goth night later this month.
- Scott Mou—AKA Queens—will spin at Bossa Nova Civic Club on Wednesday, June 24th. Mou may be best known for his droning, lo-fi indie rock project Queens, which delivered the End Times LP via Dial Records in 2013. Though Dial is often associated with melancholic house and techno, their catalogue has a "more experimental side [that] gets overlooked," says label boss Peter Kersten in RA's recent label of the month feature. "End Times is one of my favorite records on the label," he explains. Mou is also known for Jane, his short-lived electronic duo with Panda Bear, as well as his longtime employment at New York record institution Other Music. Tropical Goth residents Kiddo Sincere, Chris Video and Clever Rebel round out the bill on the 24th.
