- The American duo's LP, out via Dropping Gems in August, was inspired by their new method of collaborating remotely.
Ghost Feet will release their first full-length on August 18th.
The duo of Hobbes and Qloq originally hail from Olympia, Washington. They released their first EP for Portland concern Dropping Gems back in 2011. Ghost Feet have since moved apart, and decided to work remotely on Together Alone. It's an album said to be inspired by the process of "sharing writing credits on every track and working in unison on almost all of the instrumentation and production," despite not being in the same city.
The label describes the LP as working "in gloomy light, eyes towards the daytime sun in the distance, melancholy seasoned with optimism," adding that the duo "draw on a wide range of sound sources in service of this journey, everything from guitar, bass, drums, and synthesizers to field recordings, heavy fx processing and severe re-sampling."
