- The experimental piano player will release his next album in November.
Ukrainian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk will release an album called Rivers And Streams on Erased Tapes in November.
Lubomyr Melnyk is among the world's fastest piano players. As RA's Matthew Bennett found out earlier this year, he's spent the past 20 years developing a style of "continuous music," which has been steadily gaining traction in experimental circles. Rivers And Streams will be Melnyk's second album for Erased Tapes, a label that has a broad range of composers and musicians on its roster. The forthcoming LP is said to be inspired by Melnyk's deep connection to water, and collects six pieces, including one recorded in a church. It's due out on November 30th.
