  • Nation will release Black Meteoric Star's The Xecond Xoming Of Meteoric Star soon. The record marks the end of the Black Meteoric Star project, one of many helmed by New York producer Gavin Russom. He's best known for his close involvement with DFA Records, first as an in-house synth technician and also as a label artist. The new one features Russom's vocals on closer "No Map," a first for this project. The press release provides the following conceptual basis for the album:
A mysterious figure undergoes a transformation, triggered by the discovery of music from his former radical self into praising Gaia, the mother of all life. He urges us on to go out into the wild, and we follow his call. Because only the love to nature, and the intricate balance of the circle of life will repent humankind from their savagery, their violence and their discord. This is a political and spiritual manifest. No religion, no state, no currency can save us from certain doom. Only if we change our ways, will mankind live to see the brighter future.
