- The Mood Hut heads will take the Canadian Riviera into 2016.
Jack J and Local Artist will headline a New Year's Eve celebration in Vancouver.
The gig marks an increasingly rare hometown appearance for Jack Jutson, who otherwise operates as half of the Pender Street Steppers with Liam Butler. He's had a busy year of touring, both with the Steppers and solo, and his RA Recommended "Thirstin'" made a big impact on dance floors all through the summer.
He'll play with Local Artist, a fellow Mood Hut affiliate who just released an ambient 12-inch as Slow Riffs, at a secret location. The two will spin all night, and organizers promise that "most styles will not be ignored: jazz, house, deep dance, originals, classics, jazzy house, rock, dub, MPB, AOR, BC Beat, techno and more."
There will also be an ambient room featuring two 1080p affiliates—RAMZi and Daniel R, AKA NAP—and two other locals, Yu Su and Unknown Mobile, with a handful of installations set up at the venue as well.
