  • Max Richter will debut the live version of his Sleep project in Berlin's Kraftwerk complex this March. Richter released his album Sleep last year, an eight-hour work that creates "a landscape or a musical place where people could fall asleep," and now the German-born composer is taking the experience on the road. The three overnight performances at Kraftwerk, the spot that hosts Berlin's Atonal Festival, will go down on the 15th, 16th and 17th of March, each stretching from 10 PM through 8 AM. Attendees will be supplied with beds. Richter has already sold out a performance of a shortened version of Sleep at London's Barbican, but a second date on May 18th has been announced for those who missed out. The tour will continue throughout England, Scotland and Ireland during May. Sleep was recently remixed by the likes of Clark and Mogwai.
