- NoGeo, the New York producer's first full-length, is out on Ghostly International this April.
Logan Takahashi will release his NoGeo LP via Ghostly International on April 15th.
Takahashi is best known as one-half of Teengirl Fantasy, the group that formed at Oberlin College and went on to release work on R&S Records and Hivern Discs. He says the new one draws on "experiences both from the last few years of my life working with Teengirl Fantasy and from my musical experiences beforehand." The classically trained violinist-turned-producer also looked back to the "late ‘80s Japanese Neo Geo genre (which kicked off with Ryuichi Sakamoto's 1987 album of the same name)" as well as "the early ‘00s Brooklyn tabletop electronics scene," genres Takahashi praises for creating their own musical vocabulary.
