Starting on April 4th, each session will take place at a different venue, with Babyfather, Bill Kouligas and Gigi Masin among the acts confirmed.
East London's NTS Radio will celebrate its fifth birthday with five events in as many days, running from Monday, April 4th through Friday the 8th.
Five venues of varying characters and sizes have been selected for the series, which has been dubbed NTS Is 5. The launch goes down at Café OTO on the Monday night, featuring a live set from Gigi Masin and DJ support from Activia Benz signee Sega Bodega. Hackney Wick's Waw Warehouse will host a string of live performances on Tuesday (Shopping, Skinny Girl Diet, Spectres), before the action moves to Kingsland Road spot Efes on Wednesday. Warp's Lafawndah, Neverland Clan and Organ Tapes have been tapped for live sets at that one.
The Thursday and Friday shows will take place at Bloc, AKA Autumn Street Studios, and Corsica Studios respectively. Dean Blunt's Babyfather alias headlines the former, joined by TBA support, while a long list of guests and NTS regulars play the Friday blowout. These include: Akito, Bill Kouligas, Eclair Fifi, Hieroglyphic Being, Joey LaBeija, FunkinEven, Nidia Minaj, Lord Tusk, Larry B and this week's RA exchange interviewee, Trevor Jackson.
Tickets to NTS Is 5 are available here on RA.
