- It's a collaboration with Third Stone, from the fashion brand JULIUS.
ENA's next album will come via a new imprint called NILØS on March 18th.
NILØS is the newly-established music arm of Third Stone, which also runs the fashion label JULIUS (which counts the likes of Ben Klock and Richie Hawtin among its proponents). The goal is to "transmit the industrial ethos of the brand within a new sound approach," according to Third Stone themselves. The first release comes from Japanese producer and Samurai affiliate ENA, who has created a single-track ambient album called Soil—or "an atmospheric monotone space," in the words of the label. It was inspired by the NILØS collection "Troll," itself based on Icelandic folklore.
The vinyl version, distributed by Samurai, will come housed in a special gatefold with a newsprint booklet. (The artwork was done by Auxiliary producer RQ.)
