- Marlon Silva's first release on the Lisbon label since 2011 is out in April.
DJ Marfox will return to Lisbon's Pri´ncipe label with a new EP titled Chapa Quente.
Marlon Silva was responsible for the first ever release on Pri´ncipe—2011's Eu Sei Quem Sou. Since then both producer and label have gained international attention, with DJ Marfox signed up by Warp Records for an EP series showcasing Lisbon's dance scene. There's a nod to this rise on Chapa Quente, with a track named "Unsound" after the esteemed Polish festival that invited DJ Marfox and fellow Pri´ncipe artist DJ Nigga Fox to perform in 2013. Pri´ncipe say this new record reflects DJ Marfox's upbringing in the now-demolished Quinta Da Vito´ria shantytown in Lisbon, where "neighbours who had emigrated from India, Pakistan, Sa~o Tome´ e Pri´ncipe or Cabo Verde informed his sound aesthetics and practice."
