  • NORD Records, a label based in Aarhus, Denmark, is closing. Launched in 2012 with an EP from Samuel André Madsen, NORD put out nine records featuring underground house, techno and electro talent from both sides of the Atlantic. DJ Spider, Bookworms, Arkadelphia and DJ Guy would be recruited for solo efforts, along with White Material affiliate Alvin Aronson, whose High Rise EP has turned out to be the label's final release. In a text and audio message shared over the weekend, NORD announced its closing and offered thanks to the artists involved, along with its fans and supporters. A new label will follow, called No Hands Records: "a new project between five good friends" whose "output will be very different to what you have been used to." Listen to the announcement below.
